site.btaPresident Radev Attends Charity Athletics Tournament in Sofia
Bulgarian President Rumen Radev greeted the participants in the You Are the Winner charity athletics tournament in Asics Arena in Sofia. The competition is held under the patronage of the head of State in support of 'sunshine children' and athletes from the Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (FAPA). Its goal is to raise funds to help the children prepare for and participate in the European Athletics Championships in March in Finland and in June in Czechia.
"It is a pleasure for me to share this wonderful event with you in support of the 'sunshine children,'" Radev said, addressing the participants. He congratulated the children's coaches and their parents for "their daily tireless efforts to encourage more children to engage in sports and grow into active young individuals".
FAPA President Slav Petkov thanked the head of State for attending the competition and for the respect he showed towards the athletes and their coaches.
