The Ministry of Tourism presented Bulgaria at the international tourism fairs TTR in Bucharest and Travel+ 2025 in Budapest, which were held from February 20 to 23, 2025, the Ministry said here on Tuesday. Both exhibitions are among the most important tourism events in the region and bring together the latest offerings from travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, resorts and tourism service providers.

The Bulgarian stand at TTR Romania was visited by the Romanian Minister of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism.

The TTR exhibition is one of the largest tourism forums with a professional focus in Romania and this year it is organized for the 51st time. Bulgaria traditionally participates in the event with a representative national stand, organized by the Ministry of Tourism with an area of 350 sq. m.

"Bulgaria is one of the leading destinations for Romanian tourists and interest in the country continues to grow. Our national presentation at TTR Romania is part of the Ministry of Tourism's strategic efforts to expand the position of the Bulgarian tourism sector in the key Romanian market," Bulgaria's Tourism Minister Miroslav Borshosh said.

Alongside the participation in Romania, Bulgaria was also represented in Hungary with a stand at Travel+ 2025, which provided an additional opportunity to promote Bulgaria as a destination in the region's key tourism markets. Bulgaria was awarded by the organizers of the event with a certificate of successful participation and an outstanding stand.

The Travel+ 2025 International Travel Trade Fair in Budapest is a great platform to promote Bulgaria as a tourist destination with high quality services and long-standing hospitality traditions, said Minister Miroslav Borshosh, adding that Bulgaria's participation is an important part of the Ministry's efforts to expand the country's presence in international tourism markets.

The participation in Travel+ 2025 is part of the Ministry's strategic efforts to boost the advertising and promotion of Bulgaria in Hungary, which is a key target market for Bulgarian tourism, the statement said.
