An award ceremony for the Hall of Fame competition for Bulgarian entrepreneurs was held at the Ivan Vazov National Theatre here on Monday evening. The award, which was conferred for the first time by the Bulgarian Entrepreneurial Association (BESCO), went to Ivo Tsenov, founder of Site Ground Web Hosting Company. The award is for personal contribution, and not corporate success.
The five finalists in the competition were selected among 113 contemporary Bulgarian entrepreneurs. These are Ivo Tsenov, Darik Radio Executive Director Hristo Hristov, Uxify founders Mihail Stoychev and Georgi Petrov, Dronamics founders Svilen Rangelov and Konstantin Rangelov, and Endurosat founder Raycho Raychev. The 56-member jury evaluated the nominees based on the following criteria: support for the development of the ecosystem for more than ten years; impeccable reputation; no political activity; no membership in the BESCO Governing Board.
At the award ceremony, BESCO Executive Director Dobromir Ivanov said that the purpose of the Hall of Fame competition is to show that a century later, there is once again something to be proud of and there are once again entrepreneurs serving as a good example to young people.
BESCO Executive Director Nedyalko Dervenkov said that the award is a symbol of Tsvenov's values. "It is proof that we can be successful and, at the same time, to serve as an example that we can help those coming after us. This award embodies the values that we want to carry as a business, as individuals but also as a nation," he noted.
