Six Bulgarian companies presented their products at the largest trade exhibition for organic products in Scandinavia, Nordic Organic Food Fair and Natural Beauty & Health Show, which takes place on Wednesday and Thursday in Stockholm, Sweden, the Association of Traditional Bulgarian Preserved Foods said. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food and the State Fund for Agriculture organized the Bulgarian participation in the event. 

More than 500 exhibitors and hundreds of retailers, sector traders and industry professionals came together at the Kistamassan exhibition centre,becoming a showcase for cutting-edge products and innovations in organic and sustainable food, natural beauty, eco-living and natural health.

BulgarConserv Rupite, Bulgarian Wild Mushrooms, Deroni, Fructo Sliven, Harvesta,m and Cherry Berry were the companies presented at the national stand the country. Their products included traditional vegetable preserves with 100 percent natural ingredients, without added sugar and preservatives; fruit nectars, juices and compotes from peaches, plums, apricots, strawberries and cherries, mead, chokeberry organic wine, black elderberry wine, raspberry and cherry. Bulgaria increasingly successfully participates in the markets of canned foods, dried fruits, spices and vegetables, nuts, certified for origin and quality, as well as with its high-quality wild mushrooms, the Association of Traditional Bulgarian Preserved Foods said.

The head of Bulgaria's Office for Trade and Economic Affairs of Bulgaria in Stockholm - Valentin Stoev visited the Bulgarian stand and assisted the Bulgarian participants in making meetings and contacts with leading Swedish trade chains and partners. A pre-arranged meeting in the largest hypermarket for ethnic foods, where there is already a Bulgarian stand, gave the companies the opportunity to directly negotiate for offering their products in the chain, the announcement states.

Antoaneta Bozhinova from the Association of Traditional Bulgarian Preserved Foods said that the benefits for native producers are great, as the exhibition in Stockholm is one of the most innovative platforms for the retail and catering supply of certified organic food, beverages and ingredients in Scandinavia and is a valuable opportunity to discover and offer new products, understand market trends and connect with leading brands and suppliers. "We have been working hard to introduce our products to direct consumers, distributors and retailers to expand their product lines with sustainable and health-focused solutions for their customers with premium Bulgarian products," added Bozhinova.
