site.btaVazrazhdane Insist that Businesses Get Compensated For Expensive Electricity Fast

Vazrazhdane MP Yordan Todorov said in Parliament here on Friday that his parliamentary group insists that non-domestic electricity consumers affected by high electricity prices get compensated as soon as possible. Todorov reported that meetings were scheduled with the caretaker finance and energy ministers, Lyudmila Petkova and Vladimir Malinov, to discuss the delay.

The MP said that according to official information released by the relevant ministries, a notification of the European Commission is expected, as this measure is being reformatted from a European to a national one. He added that whatever the reason for the delay, the result is alarming, the tourism industry is hit the worst by it.

Vazrazhdane plans to ask the ministers whether there is a need for additional legislation. If necessary, the parliamentary group will request an extraordinary parliamentary sitting to discuss the matter.
