Commission for Consumer Protection (CCP) officers may carry out on-site inspections on commercial premises only after they present an order signed by the Commission's Chairperson, Maria Filipova, CCP said on Tuesday.

The order must state the reason for the inspection, the persons authorized to conduct it, and the specified period during which they will be on site.

This measure aims to increase transparency and security in the implementation of the CCP’s control activities and to improve the efficiency of the officers’ operational effectiveness, the Commission noted.

In late May, caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev’s government replaced the entire leadership of CCP and appointed Maria Filipova as chairperson.
