Schneider Electric Bulgaria EOOD is the winner in the 2023 Investor of the Year category of the 18th annual competition held by the InvestBulgaria Agency (IBA).
The award was presented by Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel to the company's Managing Director Martin Yordanov at a ceremony attended by central and local government officials, representatives of employers' organizations, bilateral chambers of commerce and industry, and other official guests.
BTA is a media partner of the Investor of the Year Competition.
Eligible for the honours are companies that have advanced significantly their development through sustainable and efficient investments, have created new jobs, and are implementing high technologies, in line with IBA's target of promoting smart and sustainable economic growth.
In this year's competition, companies were distinguished in 11 categories:
- Investment in Innovative Business: Nidec Elesys RnD Europe Bulgaria EOOD. Innovation and Growth Minister Milena Stoycheva presented the award to the company's Managing Director Philippe Marquet.
- Greenfield Investment: Glass Contribution EAD. IBA Executive Director Mila Nenova presented the award to the company's Executive Director Georgi Paskov.
- Investment in Human Capital: Technical Components Bulgaria EOOD. Transport and Communications Minister Georgi Gvozdeykov presented the award to the company's Executive Director Martin Petrov.
- Investment in Business Expansion: Amer Sports Bulgaria EOOD. Economy and Industry Minister Bogdan Bogdanov presented the award to the company's Executive Director Ivaylo Petrov.
- Investment Highly Contributing to a Region's Development: Blue Summer 23 OOD. Agriculture and Food Minister Kiril Vatev presented the award to company representative Kristina Dimitrova.
- Low Carbon Footprint Investment: Heidelberg Materials Devnya JSC. Environment and Water Minister Julian Popov presented the award to company representative Konstantin Bozhilov.
- Bulgarian Municipality with Most Investments for 2023: Stara Zagora. Deputy Interior Minister Hristo Stefanov presented the award to Stara Zagora Mayor Zhivko Todorov.
- Sustainable Business: Bade Bulgaria KD. Bulgarian Development Bank Executive Director Iliya Karanikolov presented the award to the company's Managing Director Sava Chorbadzhiev.
- Successful Start-up:
-- Barin Sports AD. Deputy Innovation and Growth Minister Martin Gikov presented the award to the company's co-founder and Executive Director Vladimir Grozdanov.
