site.btaMECh Leader Says No-Confidence Motion against Zhelyazkov Cabinet Is "Already Successful"

Morality, Unity, Honour Leader (MECh) Radostin Vasilev Wednesday said that the no-confidence motion against the Zhelyazkov - scheduled to be voted on Thursday – is “already successful”. 

The motion was submitted by the MECh on April 10 over corruption and is backed by the MPs of Vazrazhdane and Velichie.

In Vasilev’s words, Wednesday’s debate on the motion will make it clear that “this government is continuing a long-standing practice of corruption in Bulgaria and has done nothing to change the situation”.

He said that is possible that the Democracy, Rights and Freedoms – MRF could support the motion and urged them to do so “because it is their only chance to save their political party”. 

Vasilev added that it seems that the Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria and Movement for Rights and Freedoms - New Beginning leader Delyan Peevski are supporting the Cabinet.
