The Four Italian Tenors concert took place in Dobrich, Northeastern Bulgaria, on Monday.
Tarquini, Alessandro Fantoni, Gianni Leccese, Giovanni Maria Palmia together with the Varna Philharmonic Orchestra presented classical music lovers with arias from operas by Giacomo Puccini, Giuseppe Verdi, as well as famous Neapolitan canzonets. The conductor of the concert was Hristo Pavlov, who introduced the audience to each performance.
The four tenors sang for the first time in Bulgaria on June 13, 2019 in front of an audience of 2,000 people in the Summer Theatre of Varna at the opening of the Opera Festival in the Summer Theatre. Ten more concerts followed.
Between December 2019 and January 2020, they performed two concerts in Turkiye dedicated to the anniversary of Atatürk and sang at the Ankara Arena in front of 12,000 people.
The Four Italian Tenors project was born from the idea of forming a quartet of voices to present Italian and popular music to the world, using one of the most beautiful vocal registers, the tenor.
After a lengthy selection, the four selected singers made their debut in Rome, followed by a very successful three-month tour of the United States in 2019 with 57 concerts in major American cities.
The Four Italian Tenors have already performed in Varna, Burgas and Shumen.
