The Vassil Arnaoudov Sofia Chamber Choir with conductor Prof. Dr. Theodora Pavlovich will participate in the Archaion Kallos International Festival of Orthodox Music in Prague, Czechia, said the Bulgarian Cultural Institute (BCI) in Prague on their website.

The festival is the only one of its kind in Central Europe, introducing the Czech audience to a musical tradition that is "an important and integral part of European culture and history", noted the BCI.

The Vassil Arnaoudov Sofia Chamber Choir is the only non-church choir participating in the festival this year. The Bulgarian choristers will present Bulgarian Orthodox music with works by composers Dobri Hristov, Alexander Tekeliev, Petar Dinev and others.

The Vassil Arnaoudov Sofia Chamber Choir was founded in 1966 and bears the name of its founder and long-time conductor Prof. Vassil Arnaoudov. The ensemble is a laureate of two Grand Prix awards, six special and eighteen first prizes from international competitions, released a number of records, recorded for European and Japanese television and radio companies, as well as eight solo CDs. In recent decades, the choir has been conducted by Prof. Dr. Theodora Pavlovich.
