The film Triumph by Petar Valchanov and Kristina Grozeva won the Grand Prize at the 42nd Golden Rose Festival for Bulgarian feature films, held in Varna. The film also received the prize for screenplay (writtem by the two directors together with Decho Taralezhkov), the prize for actress in a leading role (shared between Margita Gosheva and Maria Bakalova) and the audience award. 

The special jury award went to the film The Trap by Nadezhda Koseva. The film also grabbed the prize for actor in a leading role (for Alexander Trifonov) and for cinematography (for Kiril Prodanov).

The prize for directing went to Pavel G. Vesnakov for Windless. This film also received the recognition of the youth jury, as well as the award of the Municipality of Varna.

It was announced at the ceremony that Windless has been nominated for the European Film Awards. 

The prize for best short film went to The Reptiles by Kristina Spasovska, a co-production of Bulgaria and France. The jury also awarded two honorary diplomas to Andrei Paunov's Two by Two and Elena Toncheva's Nicole, which was also honoured with the Filmautor Award for Young Artist (presented for the first time at the festival). 

The third Golden Rose statuette, awarded for TV series, went to Anxiety.  

For the first time, a special achievement diploma was also announced and it went to Ivelina Mineva for her work as an artist on the films Triumph, The Trap and In Sickness and in Health. The first prize for music at the Golden Rose Festival went to Peter Dundakov. 

The Director of the National Film Centre, Petar Todorov, presented the prize for feature debut to Yana Lekarska, director of Because I Love Bad Weather

The award of the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers is for Triumph, and the Critics Guild awarded the short production Wedding by Veselin Boydev and the feature In Sickness and in Health by Magdalena Ralcheva.
