site.btaDoza Gallery to Host International Art Auction

More than 40 contemporary Bulgarian artists and over 60 current works of art will be offered at an international live auction at the Doza gallery and online on the British platform The Auction Collective. The auction will take place between  September 26 and October 11.

The organizers of the auction, titled "Sofia Calling! A modern way to collect contemporary art", noted that they set themselves the goal of disproving the deep-rooted belief that there is no interest in collecting contemporary art.

The team said that despite the long-term efforts of private galleries and specialists in the field of contemporary art, the bias against collecting contemporary art continues to be very strong in Bulgaria today. "At the same time, authors of different generations work actively in their studios, open exhibitions and present themselves and our culture to the world. Their art is bright and memorable, offers excellent quality and a wide variety of creative styles and artistic approaches," the team further stated.
