The 36th Council of Managers of National Antarctic Programs (COMNAP) Annual General Meeting (AGM) is taking place in Buenos Aires between August 14 and 16, the Head of the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute, Prof. Dr. Christo Pimpirev, said on Wednesday.

The Bulgarian delegation consists of: Pimpirev, Dragomir Mateev - Member of the BAI Board of Directors, who is also Deputy Director of the National Centre for Polar Research, and Kamen Nedkov - commander of the Bulgarian Antarctic Base.

The meeting will discuss Bulgaria's joint scientific research and logistics operations with its naval research vessel Sv. Sv. Kiril i Metodii (RSV 421) and the Bulgarian Antarctic Base with the Antarctic programmes of Spain, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay, Portugal and Turkiye.
