At the opening of the last night of the Dr Emil Iliev International Jazz Festival in the winter resort of Borovets, festival director Dr Tatyana Ilieva said that the organisers did their best to satisfy all jazz lovers.

"For me personally, the five festival nights passed in the blink of an eye, but we all enjoyed the wonderful performances of the Bulgarian and international artists," Ilieva said, adding that artists from a total of 12 countries took part in the festival.

Ilieva thanked all her team, the sponsors, the presenters, the journalists and all the attendees. She also read a congratulatory address to caretaker Tourism Minister Evtim Miloshev, thanking him for the financial support to the event.

Addressing the attendees, Samokov Deputy Mayor Stanimira Davidova expressed joy that the festival has promoted Borovets as a resort.

First on stage on Wednesday night were the Kornazov/Dupas Quartet (Bulgaria/France), followed by Jive Aces and soloists.
