site.btaPhoto Exhibition Capturing Lives of Syrian Refugees in Harmanli to Be Displayed at Sofia Airport

An exhibition that documents the lives of Syrian children and families accommodated in the refugee centre in Harmanli (South Bulgaria) will be unveiled in the Arrivals Hall of Sofia Airport’s Terminal 2 on June 20, the organizers said.

Titled "Innocence without Borders", the exhibition features 19 photographic panels that capture human stories behind the statistics and draws attention to the needs and rights of unaccompanied children seeking protection. Dedicated to World Refugee Day, the exhibition is a joint initiative of the State Agency for Refugees, UNICEF, and the Swiss Embassy, with the support of Sofia Airport.

The organizers said that the event will be attended by Jesus Caballero, CEO of Sofia Airport operator SOF Connect, UNICEF Representative to Bulgaria Christina Dorothea de Bruin, Thomas Stauffer, Head of the Swiss Contribution Office at the Swiss Embassy in Sofia, and State Agency for Refugees Vice President Yanita Manolova, among others.
