Bulgarian singer Lili Ivanova was awarded the Golden Century necklace by caretaker Culture Minister Nayden Todorov following her concert at the Vasil Levski congress centre in Veliko Tarnovo late on Monday. The award was presented to Ivanova for her overall work to the Bulgarian music.
The concert of the prima of Bulgarian pop music was part of her national tour in 2024.
In Veliko Tarnovo, Ivanova performed alongside the LI Orchestra musicians - Angel Dyulgerov (guitars, violin), Ognyan Enev (piano, trumpet, saxophone), Ivan ‘Cherry’ Yordanov (guitars), Hristo Mihalkov (bass guitar), Orlin Tsvetanov (violin), Rosen Vatev (drums, percussion) and "LaTiDa" (backing vocals).
After Veliko Tarnovo, Ivanova will stage concerts in Ruse, Silistra and Haskovo later in June, and in Shumen, Varna and Burgas in July. She will perform in Stara Zagora and Pleven in September, and in Smolyan, kardzhali, Pazardzhik and Vratsa in October. In November, concerts will take place in Panagyurishte, Kyustendil and Sandanski. The final concert of the singer’s national tour will be at the Arena Sofia hall in Sofia in December.
