site.btaNational Cartoon Exhibition to Be Hosted by Union of Bulgarian Artists in Sofia

A national exhibition of Bulgarian cartoon art will be held at the Gallery of the Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA) at 6 Shipka Street, Sofia between April 4 and 20. It will be the 49th installment of the event, the UBA said on Saturday.

The show will feature political cartoons, satirical drawings, graphics and paintings. They were selected by a jury from among submissions by artists of various generations. Regularly contributing doyens Gencho Simeonov and Ivan Veselinov are on the list of participants again, and so is the peerless Milko Dikov, who left this world in 2023.

The UBA will announce its latest cartoon awards at the opening of the exhibition at 6 p.m. on April 4.
