site.btaItalian Artist Albino Pitti Presents Solo Exhibition in Pleven

Italian artist Albino Pitti opened his solo exhibition at the Iliya Beshkov Art Gallery in Pleven (Northern Bulgaria) on Tuesday. The exhibition, on display over the following weeks, includes over 100 artworks created by Pitti since 2012 and paintings from the creative workshop he held at New Bulgarian University in November 2023.

Pitti told BTA that the Iliya Beshkov Art Gallery is one of the best in Bulgaria. "When an artist comes here, he gets inspired and wants to start painting right away," he added.

The artist was invited to present his works in Pleven at the initiative of art historian Yulian Raychev. In a conversation with the gallery's staff on Tuesday, Pitti said he would assist in organizing a joint exhibition of Pleven-based and foreign artists. He noted that he was very impressed by the works of Pleven artists that he saw on his first visit to the gallery and praised the artists‘ uniqueness.

On Wednesday, Pitti will hold a workshop with students from the Panayot Pipkov National School of Arts in Pleven.

Albino Pitti, winner of many international awards, was born in Italy. He has lived, worked, and held exhibitions in countries such as the Netherlands, Spain, and Bulgaria. His artworks have also been exhibited in Italy, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Austria, the US, Slovakia, Portugal, Luxembourg, Monaco, the United Arab Emirates, San Marino, Canada, England, Indonesia, Morocco, Sweden, and Denmark, among others.
