The film Blaga's Lessons (2023) by director Stefan Komandarev will be presented for the first time in the Berlin cinema Delphi LUG on January 24. From January 25, the film will be screened throughout Germany, Borislav Petranov, director of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Berlin told BTA.

"A Bulgarian feature film has not been distributed in the cinema network of the federal republic for many years. The Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Berlin will support the advertising campaign," he said.

Blaga's Lessons is the most awarded contemporary Bulgarian film. It won the Grand Prix Crystal Globe at the 57th Karlovy Vary Film Festival this year, as well as the female lead award by Eli Skorcheva, Petranov pointed out.

The Bulgarian-German production also received a prestigious nomination for the European Film Awards, the Jury Prize in Rome, as well as 7 Golden Rose awards, including Best Film. Blaga's Lessons was also the Bulgarian proposal for the Oscars this year.
