A traditional Epiphany water blessing ceremony of the military colours and the sacred flags of the Bulgarian Army took place in Sofia on Saturday at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier.
President Rumen Radev reviewed the troops. Attending the ceremony were Vice President Iliana Iotova, Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov, Sofia Mayor Vassil Terziev, Deputy Parliament Chair Rossitsa Kirova, Defence Minister Todor Tagarev and the Chief of Defence, Admiral Emil Efitmov.
Metropolitan Anthony of Western and Central Europe and priests from the Bulgarian Orthodox Church performed the water blessing.
