Teen pianist Can Saraç will give a recital in Sofia on September 25, said the Polish Institute. It is hosting the event and organizing it together with the Piano Extravaganza international festival. Saraç will play works by Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Brahms, and Ravel.

The recital is part of the Young Piano Stars cycle initiated by Bulgarian pianist Lyudmil Angelov within the Piano Extravaganza Festival he organizes.

Saraç was born in Istanbul in 2007. He received his first piano lessons at the age of 5. In June 2021, he was accepted in the Munich Pre-College programme for highly talented pupils of Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich. There, he continued his studies with Prof Michael Schäfer. Saraç is a scholarship holder of the Liechtenstein International Music Academy. Since 2018, he has participated in many competitions all over the world, winning numerous prizes in solo, duo, and accompaniment categories. His achievements got him invited to perform in renowned venues, such as Carnegie Hall, NY, Liederhalle Stuttgart, Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall, CSO Blue Hall, and the Centre for Fine Arts of Brussels. He is a tutoring member of Care-to-Share, a charity initiative to support underprivileged children in their music education.
