Stanislav Anastassov has been elected Deputy Floor Leader of MRF - New Beginning, National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova told MPs on Thursday in relation to information submitted by the parliamentary group. At a meeting on March 19, MRF - New Beginning adopted a decision on changes in the group's leadership and elected Anastassov Deputy Floor Leader with 29 votes in favour.

Anastassov was sworn in as MP on Wednesday together with Seyfi Sabri Mehmedali, following a Constitutional Court ruling outlawing the election of 16 MPs in a case challenging the legality of the October 27, 2024 parliamentary elections. The ruling also resulted in the Velichie party entering the National Assembly with 10 MP seats.
