site.btaDance Sport Gala Evening to Be Held in Yambol on March 21

Over 50 dance competitors and coaches will participate in a gala evening in Yambol on March 21, Bulgarian Federation of Dance Sports Clubs Chair Georgi Naydenov told BTA on Thursday.

"I can boldly state that we are currently in the top 5 in Europe. The past year was one of the most successful for Bulgarian dance sports. All competing couples with high sporting achievements will be honoured at the gala evening. The idea is to reward them and motivate them to continue glorifying Bulgaria abroad," Naydenov pointed out. He noted that the federation has the support of the Youth and Sports Ministry and that together they organized a large number of sports camps in 2024, which will continue in 2025.

"We are actively developing children's and youth sports, which is very important, and has not been done in recent years", he stressed, adding that Bulgarian dance couples often work with the world's best coaches. "Our athletes also go to international camps, which helps the development of our sport," Naydenov concluded.
