Vazrazhdane Floor Leader Kostadin Kostadinov sent a condolence telegram to North Macedonia's President, Prime Minister and Ambassador to Bulgaria on the nightclub tragedy in Kocani, the party's press centre reported on Sunday.

"We mourn with you for the great tragedy that has befallen North Macedonia. I offer my sincere condolences for the deaths of the young people who died in the brutal fire in the town of Kocani," the telegram said.

Fifty one people have died in a nightclub fire in North Macedonia. The blaze broke out in the early hours of Sunday in Kocani, a town around 100 km east of the capital, Skopje. Some 1,500 people were said to have been attending a concert. According to local media reports, the fire may have been caused by the use of pyrotechnic devices.
