National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova expressed her condolences and those of all MPs for the dozens who died in tragic circumstances at a nightclub in Kocani in North Macedonia, the Parliament's press office said on Sunday.
"At this difficult moment for the brotherly people of the Republic of North Macedonia, we stand with them and with the families of the victims in their personal tragedy and unbearable loss," she wrote in a condolence message to her counterpart in North Macedonia Afrim Gashi.
"We send our prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured. We hope for the full recovery of the injured and overcoming all the consequences of this unfortunate incident that caused the loss of so many young people," Kiselova added.
Fifty one people have died in a nightclub fire in North Macedonia. The blaze broke out in the early hours of Sunday in Kocani, a town around 100 km east of the capital, Skopje. Some 1,500 people were said to have been attending a concert. According to local media reports, the fire may have been caused by the use of pyrotechnic devices.
