"On behalf of the parliamentary groups of GERB - UDF, BSP-United Left and There Is Such a People (TISP), I categorically state that we have not sought support outside the parties associated with the [joint] governance agreement and the Democracy, Rights and Freedoms-DRF party which joined it," GERB-UDF Deputy Floor Leader said here during a news briefing in the presence of their partners of TISP and BSP-United Left. Sacheva's remarks came in response to a declaration read out in Parliament earlier in the day by DRF-DRF Parliamentary Group, in connection with the vote on the budget, which Sacheva called "yet another challenge" they received from the parliamentary rostrum from DRF-DRF.
"During Wednesday night's vote on the three budgets [the Public Social Insurance Budget Bill, the National Health Insurance Fund Budget Bill and the State Budget Bill for 2025], as well as from the first day when the draft budget was tabled, the parliamentary groups that will and will not support it were very clearly outlined," Sacheva stressed. She said they could not be expected to make any agreements on "not supporting" any bill, document, and much less the state budget.
"We are left with the impression that there is a parliamentary group that aims to destabilize the government and to drag all parties in the agreement into a conflict from which we have distanced ourselves right from the outset," Sacheva said.
