Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov Tuesday met with Ukrainian Ambassador Olesya Ilashchuk, the Foreign Ministry said. The two discussed the latest developments in the context of Russia's ongoing full-scale military aggression against Ukraine. Kondov reaffirmed Bulgaria's consistent and unwavering support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.

The sides noted that the Agreement on Security Cooperation between Bulgaria and Ukraine is a clear sign of this commitment. The document was finalized recently during expert consultations with Ukraine and was approved by a decision of Bulgaria's Council of Ministers.

Kondov and Ambassador Ilashchuk discussed a wide range of topics, including the consolidation and strengthening of support for Ukraine, the prospects for its EU and Euro-Atlantic integration, and Bulgaria's assistance, both bilaterally and in the context of the long-term international efforts, including during Ukraine's post-war recovery and reconstruction, the Foreign Ministry said.
