51st National Assembly Floor Leaders Announced

The floor leaders of the parliamentary groups were announced from the rostrum of the National Assembly on Friday. The names were read out by 51st National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova.

Previously, the MPs of the 51st National Assembly decided to work according to the rules of procedure of the previous National Assembly until the adoption of their own. A total of 221 deputies voted in favour.

GERB-UDF: floor leader Boyko Borissov; deputy floor leaders Temenuzhka Petkova, Denitsa Sacheva, Raya Nazaryan and Rumen Hristov; secretary Alexander Nenkov.

Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria: floor leaders Nikolay Denkov and Nadezhda Yordanova; deputy floor leaders Bozhidar Bozhanov, Lena Borislavova, Lyudmila Ilieva and Stoyu Stoev; secretary Tatyana Sultanova-Siveva.

Vazrazhdane: floor leader Kostadin Kostadinov; deputy floor leader Petar Petrov; secretary Svetoslav Todorov.

Movement for Rights and Freedoms - New Beginning: floor leader Delyan Peevski; deputy floor leaders Iskra Mihaylova, Yordan Tsonev, Halil Letifov, Hamid Hamid, Stanislav Anastassov, Erten Anisova and Bayram Bayram; secretary Elvan Gyurkash.

BSP-United Left: floor leaders Atanas Zafirov and Borislav Gutsanov; deputy leaders Ivan Ivanov, Kiril Dobrev and Manol Genov; secretaries Atanas Atanasov, Deyan Dechev and Stefan Burdzhev.  

Alliance for Rights and Freedoms: floor leader Dzhevdet Chakarov, deputy leaders - Jeyhan Ibryamov, Sevim Ali and Taner Ali; and secretary - Pavlin Krastev.

There Is Such a Nation: floor leader Toshko Yordanov; deputy floor leader Stanislav Balabanov; secretaries - Alexander Valchev and Pavela Mitova.

Morality, Unity, Honour (MECh): floor leader Kiril Veselinski; deputy floor leaders Nikolay Radulov and Ventsislav Petkov; secretary Deyan Petkov.

Kiselova said that under the provisional rules of organizations there are no special requirements for the name of the groups. One option is to name the group based on a decision of the Central Election Commission for the registration of the political force to participate in the elections, and the other option is in the order applications have been submitted to National Assembly's records office. Kiselova said that in the future there may be special rules for the name of the group.
