GERB leader Boyko Borissov told a press conference Monday that he’d made a fair offer to Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB): a Parliament Chair nominated by CC-DB, and a Prime Minister from GERB. Borissov said this emerging from a meeting of the Executive Committee of GERB on Monday that discussed potential talks with CC-DB about the seat of Parliament Chair and finding a majority to form a regular government.
Borissov also said that he had taken a step back - by withdrawing Raya Nazaryan’s bid to the seat of Parliament Chair and agreeing to support the nomination of CC-DB’s Atanas Atanasov. Borissov pointed out that the formula he is proposing would be a government without the participation of Delyan Peevski’s MRF-New Beginning, Ahmed Dogan’s Alliance for Rights and Freedoms, Kostadin Kostadinov’s Vazrazhdane or Radostin Vasilev’s MECh.
