Good mountain hiking conditions with chance of local showers on Thursday, the Mountain Rescue Service said here on Thursday. Temperatures are within the 9C and 15C range, with sunny and calm weather currently prevailing.

Cloud cover is expected to increase in the afternoon, which may result in localized showers.

Resort facilities are currently operating on their summer schedules. There have been no reported incidents involving tourists in the past 24 hours.

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology forecasts sunny weather will prevail in the mountains on Thursday, but cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will develop around and after noon, bringing rain and thunderstorms in many areas. A light to moderate wind, mainly from the north-northwest, is expected. At 1,200 m, highs around 23C. At 2,000 m, highs around 16C.
