site.btaCaretaker PM Convenes Urgent Meeting in Response to Parking Lots Problem at Border Crossings

Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev is convening an urgent meeting at the Council of Ministers in connection with the problem with the parking lots at Bulgaria's borders, the Government information service reported Thursday. 

The Prime Minister expects to receive full information on the issue from the ministries of Regional Development and Public Works, of Transport and Communications, of the Interior, of Finance, as well as from the State Agency for National Security (SANS) and the National Revenue Agency (NRA). 

A meeting was held between different ministers at the Interior Ministry on Wednesday, during which it was decided that the head of the Customs Agency will draft a traffic management strategy across all border crossings.  It was reported that traditionally around 1 September there is a huge accumulation of heavy trucks and car traffic.
