The Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is willing to work with Ukraine to strengthen further the friendly relations between the two countries, the ministry said on the social network X on Thursday, responding to a message from Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

Kuleba congratulated Ivan Kondov on his appointment as caretaker Foreign Minister of Bulgaria. He expressed appreciation of Bulgaria's support for Ukraine on its path to the EU and NATO and the constant practical assistance provided to Kyiv.

The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said in its response that Sofia is willing to work with Kyiv under a common agenda, which includes support against Russia's unlawful aggression, just peace based on the United Nations Charter and Ukraine's Peace Formula, progress in the Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine and further strengthening of the two countries' friendly relations.
