site.btaTennis Player Grigor Dimitrov Qualifies to US Open Third Round

Bulgaria's highest ranked tennis player Grigor Dimitrov qualified for the third round of the US Open Grand Slam tournament after a straight-sets 6-1 6-1 7-6(5) win against Australian Rinky Hijkata on Wednesday. 

Dimitrov scored 36 winners including 15 aces in the match. He faced a single brake point and saved it, while braking his opponent's serve 6 times out of 12 opportunities. 

In the next round the Bulgarian will meet the winner of the match between world No. 23 Sebastian Baez and world No. 40 Tallon Griekspoor.

Dimitrov, currently world No. 9, reached US Open third round last year where he lost to Alexander Zverev in four sets.
