Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) floor leader Nikolay Denkov Tuesday described as "slightly hasty" the political forces' reactions to his parliamentary group's proposal that the President delay by three months the handing of the second cabinet-forming mandate. Speaking on bTV, Denkov noted that the proposal was made on Monday, and in the evening CC-DB sent to all MPs a copy of the group's draft declaration of support for seven key laws and legislative solutions to end the political crisis.

"They saw what the proposal is about last night for the first time," Denkov commented. "These reactions are slightly hasty, with the exception of that of Delyan Peevski's Movement for  Rights and Freedoms where they clearly do not want a change. Peevski wants everything to remain the same," Denkov said.

He explained that in the 48th National Assembly, the head of State provided parties with time before handing the exploratory mandate so they can negotiate and seek a solution. According to Denkov, the constitutional procedure aims to allow the seeking of a possible regular government within the corresponding National Assembly. "If you want to have no government, everything is sped up and we go to elections. If you want to form a government, you should have time to see what can unity the majority in this parliament. The three months have been calculated so that this entire work can be done. They are five laws and two decisions," he added.

In his words, CC-DB expects a majority of 160 MPs and over when the declaration is put to the vote in Parliament.
