Continue the Change (CC) adopted a position during a forum, which states that the party does not see conditions for the formation of a pro-European, anti-corruption government within the current Parliament and is ready to be a constructive opposition, said CC's press centre here on Monday, recalling the July 7 decisions of its National Council  and the discussed results of the last parliamentary elections. The members of the National Council approved the party's development strategy for 2024 and 2025, presented by CC's co-chairs Kiril Petkov and Assen Vassilev. The course for consolidation and upgrading of the coalition with Democratic Bulgaria (DB) was also approved, CC said

Regarding CC's development strategy, the National Council confirmed the clear positioning of the party as centrist, in whose mission and vision the leading issues are freedom and justice, the fight against corruption and the achievement of the European standard of living for the Bulgarian citizens. The members of the National Assembly confirmed the need for better and open communication - more clear messages related not only to Bulgaria's geopolitical place in the EU but also to the issues that are most important for the people's everyday life. The forum advocated an uncompromising fight against misinformation. The National Council voted confidence in the co-chairs, Kiril Petkov and Assen Vassilev, and they were tasked to proceed with the implementation of the party's development strategy.

CC's National Council discussed the possibilities for building and strengthening the coalition with the parties that are part of Democratic Bulgaria. The forum endorsed a course of consolidation within a coalition with DB and mandating Petkov, Vassilev and Nikolay Denkov to participate in negotiations to build on the coalition agreement with DB. The stated goal is to regain the trust of voters and to broaden the political support for the coalition.

Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB), which is part of Democratic Bulgaria, issued a position on Saturday, proposing to their partners from CC-DB to to discuss and adopt a mechanism for getting out of the current political crisis. "We believe that such an option is to ask for the third [government forming] mandate, which would be considered a "national" mandate, DSB said.
