The Bulgarian pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan welcomed its first visitors on Sunday, when the six-month world exposition opened formally. The Bulgarian section already enjoys much interest. It is a meeting point of past, present and future, highlighting Bulgaria’s history and tradition, on the one hand, and innovative and interactive technologies, on the other hand, owing to which Bulgaria holds a promising position on the map of the world.

The Bulgarian pavilion is situated next to one of the main entrances of the Expo, between the sections of Singapore and the Netherlands. The main purpose is to showcase the country’s contribution to tackling global challenges, with a focus on the topic of “Saving Lives”.

The official opening ceremony at the Bulgarian pavilion will be attended by the country’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Innovation and Growth Tomislav Donchev, Bulgarian Ambassador to Japan Marieta Arabadzhieva, Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency CEO Boiko Takov, the Bulgarian pavilion director Georgi Kostov, and Innovation and Growth Ministry Secretary General Kalin Anastasov.
