Seven new regional governors were appointed by a government decision in the regions of Vratsa, Montana, Razgrad, Smolyan, Stara Zagora, Shumen and Yambol, while the same decision dismissed the previous regional governors.

Vratsa Region: Nikolay Nikolov was appointed regional governor of Vratsa after he was deputy governor since 2023. Nikolov has a degree in finance. He worked for six years in the same regional administration in the field of administrative control and regional development. 

Montana Region: Kalin Haytov took over as governor of Montana after serving as the region's deputy governor. Haytov was a lecturer at the Prof. Arch. Stefan Stefanov Vocational Training School in Montana. He graduated from the Ruse University. 

Razgrad Region: Newly appointed governor Sevdzhan Sadkaev has extensive administrative experience. Sadkaev holds a master's degree in Industrial Management from the Ruse University. 

Smolyan Region: Rumen Pehlivanov was appointed regional governor of Smolyan. Pehlivanov holds a degree in economics. He has many years of management experience. Between 2001 and 2023 he was Mayor of Rudozem Municipality, and between 2003 and 2007 - Chairman of the Municipal Council in the same municipality.

Stara Zagora Region: Metodi Markov was appointed regional governor in the place of Iva Radeva. Markov holds a master's degree in Public Administration from the Academy of the Interior Ministry in Sofia. Between 2011 and 2018 Markov was deputy Mayor of Maglizh Municipality, Southern Bulgaria.  

Shumen Region: Newly appointed regional governor Beynur Ahmed has worked in the Shumen Municipality for nearly 15 years. Between 2013 and 2015 he served as Secretary General of the Shumen Regional Administration. He is a graduate of the Shumen University.

Yambol Region: Nikolay Kostadinov was appointed governor of Yambol region. He holds a university degree in law. Since 2023 he has been Deputy Governor. Before that, he was a senior legal adviser at the Yambol Labour Inspectorate for nearly seven years.
