The National Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology has issued an orange warning for 7 administrative regions and a yellow warning for 10 administrative regions for July 3 (Wednesday) on account of heavy rain and possible thunderstorms, it emerged from the Institute's website on Tuesday.
Floods are possible. A yellow alert for potentially dangerous weather applies to the regions of Burgas, Varna, Dobrich, Razgrad, Ruse, Silistra, Targovishte, Shumen, Sliven, and Yambol.
An orange alert for dangerous weather applies to the regions of Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Kardzhali, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, and Haskovo.
Brief precipitation, thunderous storms and hail mostly in the eastern half of the country, over Rila and the Rhodope Mountains. Mostly sunny in the afternoon. Moderate northwesterly wind, north-northeasterly wind in Southeastern Bulgaria. Highs: between 23C and 28C, around 24C in Sofia.
