site.btaDefence Minister Presents Consecrated Battle Flag to FJC Commander Major General Kanev

At an official ceremony marking the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Joint Forces Command (JFC), Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov presented a consecrated battle flag to the JFC Commander Major General Krasimir Kanev on Monday, the Ministry's press centre said here on Monday.

"Today is a memorable day in the development of our Joint Forces Command. It is a day on which a battle flag is presented - a symbol of the centuries-old military tradition of our country," he said. 

The Defence Minister congratulated the JFC on the anniversary and underlined the role and merits of the Command in providing security for the Bulgarian contingents abroad. He wished the servicemen to bravely perform their duty under their battle flag.

Zapryanov noted that the JFC has established itself as one of the main structures of the operational level command and control system of the active Armed Forces.
