site.btaDiscrimination Watchdog, Bahrain's Ombudsman Sign Memorandum of Cooperation

Bulgaria's Commission for Protection against Discrimination (CPD) and the Ombudsman's Office of Bahrain signed a Memorandum of Cooperation here on November 20, the CPD said on Thursday.

The document was signed by CPD Chairperson Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ana Djumalieva and Bahrain's Ombudsman Ghada Hameed Habib. The signing ceremony took place at the CPD headquarters during a visit by a Bahraini delegation, led by the Ombudsman, at the invitation of the Commission.

During the meeting, the members of the delegation were briefed on the CPD's key functions, powers, procedural specifics, and its established network of regional representatives.

Following the visit, the delegation met with Bulgaria's Vice President Iliana Iotova to discuss key issues related to human rights protection.
