There Is Such a People (TISP) will not enter into a coalition with GERB-UDF and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) and would not back neither the first nor the second government-forming mandate, TISP leader Slavi Trifonov wrote on Facebook on Friday. He noted that TISP will "wait for the third mandate if the President decides to give it to us".

The first two mandates for government formation are bound by Constitution to go to the two largest groups in Parliament, GERB-UDF and MRF. Under the Constitution, the President presents the third mandate to a parliamentary political force at his discretion. If the third mandate fails, a caretaker government is appointed and snap parliamentary elections are scheduled within two months.

Reiterating a statement released by his party press office on Wednesday, Trifonov's post comes after Lena Borislavova MP of Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria and Georgi Svilenski MP of BSP for Bulgaria told the media earlier in the day that a government would be formed with the participation of TISP, GERB and MRF.
