The caretaker government held fair and transparent elections, said on Wednesday Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev.

“Today our caretaker government can report to the Bulgarian public that it has fulfilled its fundamental task under the Constitution - the holding of fair and transparent elections”, Glavchev said at the beginning of the Cabinet's weekly meeting.

His remarks reiterated what he has already said, in Berlin on Tuesday.

He further added that observers from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and members of the public monitored the elections, vetting all results.
