Six people received slight injuries in a minor collision of two trains at Sofia Central Railway Station on Tuesday, the Interior Ministry and Transport Minister Georgi Gvozdeikov said. The Minister told reporters that the collision occurred when one engine driver felt sick.
The trains were going at a speed of 16 to 22 kmph at the moment of the collision.
The alert for the accident was registered at 16:45.
The injured people were taken to various medical establishments in Sofia. None was seriously harmed, said the Minister citing information from the Health Ministry.
The BDZ train operator said that the collision has caused delays of train services, some of them considerable.
