The "Memories in Focus" exhibition by Boris Zhelev will be presented at the "Paris" Gallery in Sofia and online, on the gallery's website. The curators reported that the exhibition will be open for public viewing from June 28 until July 15.
For the first time, the esteemed "Paris" Gallery will be unveiling a collection of thirteen of Zhelev's masterpieces. The curators have identified a common thread running through these works – a profound investigation into the reservoir of memories that dwell in the recesses of our collective consciousness.
Through his poignant artwork, Zhelev seizes ephemeral snapshots of varied realities, much like individual still lifes brimming with objects. These objects act as storytelling tools, catapulting spectators into a bygone era and stirring up memories of past events.
A distinguished alumnus and former faculty member of the Mural Painting Department at Veliko Tarnovo University, Zhelev boasts an impressive portfolio of solo and group exhibitions, and is the recipient of numerous awards. In addition to his expertise in painting, Zhelev also excels in the field of stained glass craftsmanship, having completed a substantial array of projects in this medium.
