Political leaders greeted Bulgarians on the occasion of May 24 - the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture, and of Slavic Literature. 

Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) leader Delyan Peevski: I wish for peace and prosperity, that we educate our children with love for kin and country, for knowledge and learning with more national pride and self-esteem. Together with the people to make Bulgaria a prosperous country where the people thrive. 

GERB leader Boyko Borissov: The greatest miracle is that we have kept our letters and language for centuries. For me the most beautiful and Bulgarian holiday is May 24.

Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov: Happy Day of the Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture, and of Slavic Literature. Happy holiday to all Bulgarians. 

Bulgarian Socialist Party leader Korneliya Ninova: Let us be proud of our contribution to world civilization. Let us be proud that thanks to us, over 250 million people around the world use the Cyrillic alphabet. In 23 countries the Cyrillic alphabet is used, let us be proud to be part of the world's civilizational choice and let us salute each other, preserve our spirituality, culture and language.
