The traditional festive procession, part of the official programme of the May 24 celebrations, began. It started from the square in front of the National Archaeological Museum, continued along Blvd. "Tsar Osvoboditel" and Blvd. "Vasil Levski", an reached the National Library.

President Rumen Radev, Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, Ministers of Education and Tourism - Galin Tsokov and Evtim Miloshev, and Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev are taking part in the procession. It is also joined by scientists from BAS and lecturers from Sofia University.

In front of the National Library began the solemn ceremony on the occasion of May 24. The event is hosted by actress Silvia Lulcheva, and the programme will be attended by the Guards Representative Brass Band, the choir of the Lyubomir Pipkov National Music School conducted by Maestro Slavil Dimitrov.

Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev and President Rumen Radev delivered a speech on the occasion.
