site.btaBulgaria Will Join BIOEAST Initiative for Knowledge-Based Agriculture

Bulgaria will participate in the establishment of an international association to support a Central and Eastern European Countries Initiative for Knowledge-based Agriculture, Aquaculture and Forestry in the Context of the Bioeconomy (BIOEAST), after the government approved the country's participation in the non-profit organization on Wednesday. 

The aim of the initiative is to enhance cooperation and more effective use of agricultural research potential in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. It will also help to promote the process of developing national strategies for a circular bioeconomy and the creation of new value-added jobs, including through active participation in Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe 2021-2027 projects. 

The establishment of the association is expected to support the activities of the Initiative and improve its efficiency.
