Bulgaria supports the appointment to the Court of Justice of two judges from Italy and Malta, according to a position approved Wednesday for the May 22 meeting of the Permanent Representatives Committee II (COREPER II) in Brussels. The two countries' candidates will be discussed at the meeting.

Bulgaria backs Italy's Massimo Condinanzi and Malta's Ramona Frendo, both nominated as judges to the European Court of Justice.

The two candidates will be appointed for a term between October 7, 2024 and October 6, 2030.
