The caretaker government will hold its regular weekly meeting on Wednesday, the press service of the Council of Ministers said. The agenda envisages that the cabinet will discuss and approve a report containing information on the implementation of the state budget and the main indicators of the consolidated fiscal programme for the first quarter of 2024.

The Council of Ministers is expected to take note of and approve a report on the activities of the Coordination Council for the Management of European Union (EU) Funds in 2023.

The Cabinet is also expected to appoint the state representatives in the National Council of People with Disabilities and its chairperson.

A draft resolution approving additional expenditure for the Culture Ministry's budget for 2024 is also part of the government meeting's agenda. Additional funds are expected to be transferred to the municipalities in order to ensure the operation of youth centres established under programmes funded by the European Economic Area financial mechanism.

The agenda of the meeting also envisages that the Council of Ministers will approve the country's position to join a joint letter on new solutions to tackle irregular migration in Europe, circulated by the informal group on migration of EU member states. The meeting starts at 11:00 am.
