Political leaders extended wishes for health, prosperity and faith in the good on the occasion of Easter.

"Christ is risen! Happy Holidays!", GERB leader Boyko Borissov wrote on his Facebook page.

Continue the Change co-leader Kiril Petkov wrote: "May the light overcome the darkness! May love conquer hate and envy! May we all be better, more humble and more hopeful!"

Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov said in a video address on Facebook that "on this day, we must ask ourselves a very important question - do we believe in the future of Bulgaria and the Bulgarian people? Can we make sure that we are worthy heirs of our predecessors?" Kostadinov wished people good health.

Movement for Rights and Freedoms leader Delyan Peevski congratulated in a press release all Orthodox Christians on the holiest Christian holiday and wished them health, peace, kindness and prosperity. 

Bulgarian Socialist Party leader Korneliya Ninova also posted a video greeting for the holiday on Facebook: "May Easter bring light and warmth to every home, may there be health, love and prosperity in every family and never lose faith in the good."

There Is Such a People party leader Slavi Trifonov wrote on Facebook that on this day "it is most appropriate to thank God, to wish health to ourselves, to our loved ones, to all the people we love and care for, and to all Bulgarians." He noted that faith is "what has kept us Bulgarians in the darkest period of Bulgarian history for 500 years".
